Hybridcats?

Hybridcats? What is that?

Hybrid cats are cats from mates between wild cats and domestic cats, for example, the Serval, the caracal, the Asian leopard cat or the lynx was used to Einkreuzen. The resulting breeds were the Savannah cat, the Caracats, the Chausie cat and the Bengal cat.

All these hybrid cats have something in common: they look wild and very good! Just different than the usual black white from next door.

The breeding of hybrid cats began in 1960 as part of scientific experiments, the goal was the study of resistance to feline leukemia. Thus, for the first time with the Asian Leopard cat from Asia in the house cat were crossed. Shortly thereafter, the pipe cat was mated with the domestic cat and the breed Chausie cat was born.

According to the investigations, these hybrid cats were given to private households and thus the trend towards hybrid cats was broken.
In 1986, it happened in America that a resident Serval had occupied a Siamese cat. The offspring of these cats were distributed among friends of Judy Frank and the trend to Savannah cat was born.

In 1998 in Russia a cat invaded the enclosure of a caracal at the Moscow Zoo, instead of being eaten by the caracal, the latter paired with her and the first Caracats were born.

Even in ancient Egypt, Living Servals Palace has repeatedly occupied a domestic cat, and so end up the Egyptian Mau, which have very similar parallels to Savannah cats.

The main difference between these two breeds lies in the anatomy due to the generational proximity to the Serval, Savannah cats are only one to six generations away from Serval and thus carry more genes from the Serval than an Egyptian Mau, which are already 20-40 generations away from Serval. The Egyptian Mau has more of an anatomy of a domestic cat.

The story shows that hybrid cats are not uncommon, but more of a natural process of nature is, in general, is known that the animal world is always evolving.

In addition to the external characteristics of hybrid cats bring very special and unique characteristics, with a very special intelligence, namely that of a dog.

Hybridcats are dogs in a cat costume who follow you everywhere, always want to cuddle, and can not stand being excluded. In such a case, the door is simply opened. They follow everywhere that they do not even dream of running away in the clearance and always stay close to the house (50 meters radius), closer than normal domestic cats.

Although hybridcats see their owner running free, they follow their owner, with or without a cat leash. Bathing fun should also not be neglected.

The fact is that the character of hybrid cats is extraordinary, and you can have 100 cats and none will be like a hybrid cat.

The big topic about the alleged agony breeding in hybrid cats!

We often read that hybrid cat breeding is reprehensible and animal cruelty would be due to the different wearing times and the different proportions.

Hybridcats Classifieds Team has gone to the trouble of visiting a few breeders and discussing them with hybrid cats and several of them have documented their births in the most accurate way via Excel spreadsheet and / or image / video recording.

The foreground of the survey are the following topics:
– Are hybrid cats suffering from torment breeding? Are the mothers dying?
– Do hybrid cats babies (kitten) really have 3-4 times the weight of a normal cat?
– How long are the wearing times?

The first breed that has visited hybrid cats classified ads, the Bengal cat is not nearly as big as the serval who had occupied it several times in the past. Despite the small size of the Bengal cat, the kittens were also correspondingly small proportionally to the mom, not as you read everywhere, 3-4 times as big kitten. The breed showed us two births where the weights of the kittens were recorded and filmed immediately after the births. Average weights of 80 to 120 grams we have found, which corresponds to the weights of a normal domestic cat birth. The mother seen in the video is the same mother presented to the team of hybrid cat classifieds, no cesarean section is visible, the mother is fine, so much so that mothers often die at birth.

The gestation period was 65 days since the first day of coverage, the average gestation period of a domestic cat is between 63 and 65 days and the general framework for a normal domestic cat birth is between 60 and 70 days.

The second breed, the cat was almost as tall as the serval and brought 150gr. Kitten to world, in which the mother brings a weight of over 10KG and these are by their standards also normal weights. The wearing time was 64 days.

Hybridcats has also been cleared that nowadays, no Bengal cat is used more for mating with servals, rather F2 Savannah cats that bring the appropriate size. In the case of Bengal cats, no ALC cat has been used for breeding for decades, and the ALC cats are also on the red list of endangered species.

However, this has no effect on the Bengal cat, since only up to the fourth branch generation the Bengal cat is considered as ALC hybrid, only with the 5th generation is an independent breed, called Bengal cat are no longer hybrid cats. Nowadays, Bengal cats are about 30 generations away from the Asian Leopard Cat.
